my experience
I use a combination of reusable and disposable wipes. For me, a poopie diaper clean-up needs a disposable wipe.
I have tried several brands of disposable wipes and Babyganics Baby Wipes
The package is resealable and has an easy to use dispenser, even for one handed use. They clean effectively and completely, and my son has never shown any skin irritation from them. I love that the wipes can be used from head to toe. Of course, they are wonderful to clean dirty bums; but they are great when you are on-the-go and need to wipe up a messy eater’s face or clean sticky hands. I have even used them to wipe up stains on clothes or other surfaces..
I also appreciate that they don’t leave an aftertaste. No! We are not eating them!
What I mean is, if I need to wipe my baby’s hands clean with a wipe they do not leave a super funky taste on his skin. There are wipes out there that do!
My son also has an obsession with hand towels, small cloths, wipes, etc. (really anything he can “clean” with.) He has had this obsession since before he could walk. I trust that if he takes a Babyganics wipe off to clean with, he and the surfaces are safe.
My Recommendation
durability test
I think softness and durability is a must when it comes to baby wipes. And although it is probably not a widely used durability test, these wipes seem impossible to destroy. I grabbed the ends of the wipe and pulled as hard as I could several times… These wipes did not rip or tear. You can see the fully intact wipe after my tug-of-war experiment.
I’m sure there is someone out there that can rip them apart, but not this momma. And, in a desperate situation, I think you could tie these end to end and make a pretty decent rope. LOL!
